12in Uconnect brightness. Reverse Guidance

Hey everyone

I have had my 2019 2500 limited for about a month now. And love everything about it.

My only real grip right now is when you put truck in reverse and goes into camera mode. . .
It’s bright. Like blinding bright. I thought maybe there is an adjustment somewhere but can’t find it. I have even tried screen off AND POWER off, the screen turns back on.
I have dark tint on my truck and can see out fine at night with all the lights dimmed down low and some auxiliary led backup lights. But when you throw the truck in reverse. The 12in screen goes FULL Bright and disorients me so I’m trying block the screen with my hand so I can see out my mirrors. And it’s a little aggravating.

Does any one else has this issue or heard of an update for the Uconnect so the screen Doesn’t go full bright?

Thanks

Same, not enough night driving yet. I'll report back when I can but I would assume one of those dimmer knobs to the left of the steering wheel would affect the screen brightness.

Yes I have the same problem I can't stand it. They will have an update eventually I'm sure. Enough of us just have to complain about safety first I guess.

Yeah those don’t doing anything either.
I usually have the dash and radio dimmed down low. But when you go into reverse full brightness. The thing that gets me is even when screen is completely turn off. It turns back on for reverse guidance

Put a piece of black tape over the camera lens?

Maybe if we start telling people that the brain is an app, they will start using it?

'14 1500 V6, '17 3500 C&C, plus a '19 3500 6.4 in the household.

Hah! Might have to keep that roll of tape handy in the door pocket if they don't have this figured out by the time my 2020 shows up.
