Fog lights in a Tradesman? Remote Start?

Can fog lights be added to Tradesman? The cut-outs appear to be there, can the OEM lights be retrofitted and just wired to an upfitter?

What about remote start?

Thanks

i bought a set of factory fogs, i plan to tackle adding them in, over the next few wks.

thought jimmy posted an easy remote start that uses your factory two button remote.
seemed pretty easy to add in.

How much were the fogs? Remote start reprogram would be sweet.

they were $100/ea off of ebay.

here is the link to the $149 remote start special. there's a detailed
video showing install as well.

Thanks. I wonder if Alfa OBD can simply reprogram?

i thought i read somewhere that you can add factory remote start via alpha. i'd confirm that, though.
been pondering on an alpha purchase, myself. the one i linked doesn't need factory programming,

Iíve been PMíing another member that has questions about adding the factory remote start to a 2019. Itís definitely doable, just a matter of how easy it could be. Iím trying to figure this out without having access to or laying eyes on a 2019 without remote start, and trying to pick up a trend with what actually comes factory, or what parts could be hit or miss from the factory. We need to verify 4 things- proper hood latch, rf hub, key fob, and programming. Iím seeing one part number for the hood latch and rf hub across all trim levels, but I canít be sure if the list is complete. Can you check and see if your hood latch has a connector on it, and if it does, is there a harness plugged into it? Can you connect your alfa to the radio frequency module and read the status and tell me what part number it is?(you shouldnít need the security gateway bypass installed for this) Iím looking to see if itís 68365298Ax (last letter doesnít matter). Then, looking to see if the remote start button is on the circuit board. It would be where the arrow is pointing, and look like the two above it-
For programming, the dealer can add the sales code (XBM) and program a new fob no problem. Question is, can the AlfaOBD do it since it doesnít ďactuallyĒ support 2019s. I think it can, and that itís the same bits that get changed in the BCM as the pre-2019s, and the RF Hub gets reset the same way. Youíll need your PIN number for the hub in the form of a key code inquiry from the parts department. Any of this info you can verify would help me determine how easily this could be done.

Thanks as always Jimmy. Let me see if I can get AlfaOBD connected to this truck tomorrow and get the info you want.

Jimmy, not remote start buttons under the keypad. Mine looks just like the one in your picture. Taking that fob apart was not fun until I finally figured out how to fully disassemble to get the rubber pad back in.

Next I'll check for the hood latch switch and harness.

There is no hood switch that I can see anywhere. Do you know where it would be? Or perhaps the Tradesman trucks, even Level 2 don’t have the switch.

Itís not an actual switch, but a connector on the latch itself. It might have a harness plugged into it, or maybe not.

@Jimmy07, i believe i lied to you on another thread, but i just took the cover off and i do have a pigtail
attached to the hood latch. i think i told you the truth on having the button on my remote. i
couldn't figure out how to take the dam thing apart, but seems like i can feel the button under the
generic cover for the auto start.
