Over aggressive exhaust break on 19

I have a 2019 3500 HO with the Aisin. With the tow haul and exhaust brake on it will red line every gear downshifting. Is this normal and is there a way to make it lighter as it downshifts? Thanks

Donít use tow/haul, unless loaded for towing heavy. Just use the EB only while normal driving.

There is an update to change that with the aisin. After the update it will hold higher gear longer or until you hit brakes and wont aggressively down shift so rapidly when just lifting off the throttle. My 68 is the same way in tow haul. Works great if you want to come to a stop... but if you want to hold your speed it wont as it downshifts and starts bringing you to a stop. Hoping to hear of same update for 68re.

Is that in auto or full, i only use auto and she holds whatever speed i was in when i lightly tap the brakes to activate the exhaust brake.(68re)
she downshifts pretty good but wont redline

Same results with either full, or auto. for example, I could be coming down a hill where I simply want to hold my speed, and exhaust brake alone will for a brief time, with no touching of the brakes it proceeds to downshift like it wants to bring me to stop...

The update for the aisin cures this about 90% from what I understand. Hopefully a update for the 68 comes soon. Or if already out maybe one could post the tsb #

My truck and probably op's truck are early build trucks. Later builds already have the update applied.

I have also heard of others complaining about the issue. They went and got an update that helped a lot. This was for the aisin

Over aggressive exhaust break on 19

I only use tow/haul when pulling my 5er. Itís 15,500 lbs so I think it warrants it. It seems others have the same issue. Does anyone have the tab number for the Aisin? This is the first new vehicle I have ever bought does the dealer charge to reflash these updates. I only have 1,200 miles on the truck. Thanks for all the replies I loved the EB on my 2010 so I was really hoping for a little nicer one in the 19. My only other complaint is I canít get it to go into 6th gear at 60ish mph while in tow haul. I have to shut tow haul off so it will shift. My truck was built in July 2019 so itís pretty fresh.
