Yeah I wouldn't ride in a buggy just on the horse. Think off road through the trees.

Ha fair enough. Suprising I've never seen anyone do that around here. Or stop to relieve them selves along the road.

[QUOTE=NordicNevs;29032367]I just want to know if I have a 4th gen or 5th gen

Apparently, we have a 4th gen. Just one that shares very little in common with previous gen 4 in terms of exact parts, especially powertrain. As has been explained in detail, that does not make us a better human nor does it render previous models useless. The major parts are just a little different and a bit more stout (on paper at least)

To be honest anyone can call it a bag of d**ks for all I care. Iím glad I have the 19 and I am sure it will have hiccups but it will work itself out. Owning all of the big three I am very impressed with the how different it is but still has that 4th gen appeal I have always had a liking to.

Eloquently put and accurate. I agree completely. But once again, the only reason I even chimed in on this was in case somebody actually goes looking for parts. '19 just uses different parts. People can read into however they like. I do like my '19. I'm sure i would've liked an '18, etc. But for owners who put heavy emphasis on preventative maintenance, we need to help each other ID the parts we are running. Completely regardless of what Gen it's called.

Yeah Iíll have questions no doubt. I already found myself research 10,000,000 different phrases on what type of oil it uses when itís the same damn thing. Hyper paranoia.

Who reads and owners manual anyway. Stupid book with pages.

Cummins says it comes with T6 from the factory. The manual says any CK-4 is ok but that "may use" synthetic. I know diesels are not as hard on oil as gas motors. And I am 100% sure there are guys running a million mile on T4 or other conventional oils. But me, yeah I've been running PAO group for or group 5 on every engine I've owned in the past 15 years. So yes, my brand new top of the line Cummins will be no exception. Especially since i let this thing idle with the A/C on at jobsites extensively. I know that's not great on engines so the least I can do is lube her up well. I used Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w40 at the first change (early-3300 miles) and I'm getting 1 better MPG now. That could be because of the magical break in period that isnt actually a break in period but kind of is according to the manual.🙄

I guess I'm a dinosaur; manual windows, manual door locks, AM/FM/cassette, & ECM delete on my First Gendered daily driver.

When's it real cold outside & I'm at a drive through, leaning one's shoulder against the side glass to crack the ice + rolling the window down to order = priceless.

Sometimes, if my truck has been switched off, I can hear the frantic whine of an electric window motor ahead of me, and the driver has to open the door & order up.

I've ridden horses through the drive through as well....but never buggies :-D
