Since we can't talk about our new 3500's we might as well speculate about Fred.
Maybe he failed in getting the trucks to market and was asked to move on.
Or maybe, he was tried of working for a dysfunctional corp that couldn't get off it's collective thumb.
Who knows?
I do know Chrysler has been bailed out twice, and has Ram and Jeep lines that experience Death Wobble.

I also know I need a truck and I am not willing to wait forever.
I remember when cars had new sheet metal every year.
The 3500 has the same exterior,Ram doesn't make the engine(a good thing) and sources many of the other components, they are not inventing the wheel here.
This whole thing smells rotten.

Fred is a traitor and moved over to Nissan USA. What a major step down!

I'm surprised that he didn't have a non-compete.

Nissan's truck division is stronger with him than without.

He didn't get fired... there isn't a problem to the public eye other than us smucks on this website... he is considered a GOD ... 20-30% sales growth year over year as CEO... Speaks two languages... young... He didn't leave because of any problems... he got offered a higher paying position to help a much larger company. He is incharge of much more as VP of Nissan North America than he was as CEO of RAM and Chrysler Mexico.

Kudos to him.

You seem to have an awful lot of information for an "internet smuck" And how do you know that he did not leave because of any problems? He basically guided RAM to loosing an entire model year on their HD 3500 redesigned truck.

it was pre-planned from GO... 3500's would be built well after 2500's were complete.. engine cover fiasco probably just pushed things back a little.

Are they using the same assembly line for 2500 and 3500's?
Is that why the two models are not being built simultaneously?
When are we going to see the press release for the new 2500 with the new frame and redesigned front suspension?
Will the Aisin trans be in the 2014 2500 or the 2015?

I guarantee he didn't answer the vast majority of emails he got personally, and certainly not the one posted in this thread. Honestly, wouldn't surprise me if the ones "publicly available" are merely dummy accounts handled by secretaries and such, and the execs have separate ones kept under wraps for actual communication between themselves.

it's cute that you still think the engine cover is why the sold units are still sitting in storage..
