2014 2wd loss of PS and vibration

Hello everyone. First time poster, and first time Cummins owner.

Iím having a possible hydro boost problem, especially when towing. Iím getting a bad vibration in the steering wheel, with loss of power steering. This only happens when accelerating from a full stop or close to a full stop. Itís pretty consistent and bad when towing, whether itís my 12k lb toyhauler or my little 14 ft utility trailer. Obviously worse with the toyhauler. It rarely happens when empty, but it does happen once in a great while.

This truck has been modified with air suspension, and had to have the engine crossmember swapped with a 2013 crossmember. It has rack and pinion also. The truck was modified one year ago, and did not have the problem for about 4 months after completion. It has gotten progressively worse since. Anyone ever have something like this happen?

2014 Ram 3500 DRW 2wd. Aisin. Airlift performance full air suspension. Banks air intake. More mods to come.

Nobody on here will have ever had this happen because nobody on here has ever had one with all those wild suspension and steering mods.

No way for anyone on here to even diagnose it due to all those mods.

Wow. Thanks for the input. Are you speaking for all 241k members on this forum? Or do you just think you know it all?

Wheels310, you may not like Ltngdrvr's response but it is accurate...

For anyone to have any suggestions for your issues, for your modified truck, you need to provide more details.

Are the brakes (hydroboost) working and feel fine?

Doesn't your 2wd truck have a solid front axle? How does it have rack and pinion steering with a solid front axle?
Air suspension on front?

Can you post up some pictures of your front suspension?

Well, see, that's the other issue, says they swapped in a 2013 front cross member, but it would have to be a 2012 or older A-arm 2WD front end to use the R&P steering, 2013 is when they changed the 3500 over to straight axle and redesigned frame. I don't think he knows exactly for sure what it all is.

I know that the 2013 2500 uses the same frame and suspension as the 2012 on the 4wd. Did they change the suspension on the 2013 2500 2wd from 2012?

Yes, 2013 YM was when they redesigned the frame and suspension on the 3500 to the current configuration, 2500 followed in 2014.

Yes, I know that. Did anything change with the 2wd versions of the 2500 between 2012 and 2013 (suspension wise)?

2013 2500 was the same frame and suspension across the board as 2012.

Yes, in 2013? Dodge dumped the excellent 2wd front suspension that the 2003-2012 HD trucks had.

The previous Dodge HD 2wd trucks had double A-arms and rack & pinion steering, which is a major reason why I purchased my 2wd truck way back in 2004 and why I still have it.

In 2013?, Dodge went to a solid front axle and suspension for 2wd trucks, which is what Ltngdrvr has.
If I recall, it's nearly identical to the 4wd trucks with the same lame recirculating ball steering system and 4 control arms.
Ltngdrver, perhaps you can confirm this?

I wonder if Dodge/Ram currently even offers 2wd trucks?
Did the 2wd trucks get the same changes to the front suspension as the 4wd trucks did sometime in 2015 or 2016?
My model years could be off since I haven't been following the new trucks at all.
