Need help softening suspension

I just got an 18' 2500 cummins tradesman and the wife hates the ride. I've already taken air out of the tires. I'm at 50ish front and 60ish rears.

I dont really tow much. occassionally a bummer pull 9k camper and regularly a 20ft bass boat.

what would yall recommend I do on a budget?

was thinking 2 or 2.75 coil springs to soften and level it out

I would take another 20 psi out of the rear tires first. After that, leaving the wife at home would be the next low budget decision until she leaves and takes the truck from you.

If you are wanting a softer ride and a level look then I recommend the Thuren springs. our customers are always happy with them. I’m leveled and towing same boat setup still sit pretty level. 9k nose may be up a touch but ride will be worth it! Shoot me a PM if you’d like some pricing.

Bags of water softener salt in the back. 200 to 400 pounds outta do it. No impact on mileage. Place in line across axle.

It's Funseeker. I'm all about the good times!

If a stock 2500 rides too stiff for your wife, then I doubt anything you change on it will make her like it.

Now, my truck has the rear self leveling air suspension, and my step momster always tells me how great it rides whenever she rides in it. But, I always thought it rode stiffer than my old 2012 F250.

As to how to make your truck ride softer, the shocks do more for ride than springs, maybe someone offers softer shocks for it.

Or, trade it for a 1/2 ton since you don't tow heavy.

Yeah i'm with Ltngdrvr, diesel trucks don't have the best ride especially compared to gassers or sedans. I have full thuren king suspension and thats pretty much the best you can get. Still doesn't ride as soft as a sedan but pretty damn good for a full size truck.

Thuren suspension with his 2.5 kings valved at stage 1. A 17 inch wheel with the largest tire you can fit running a normal psi for when not towing...

Being a 2500, do you have coils in the rear or springs. If you have springs, you could remove the big overload spring and put in Carli add a pack https://carlisuspension.com/product/...e-add-a-packs/

I did thuren 2.75 springs and these add a packs in the rear, as well as about 50 psi all around and mine isn't too bad(3500).

A Snug Top shell camper weighs just enough to take the bounce out of the ride.

I removed my rear coils and installed Kelderman air bags and it rides a bit smoother. It is a heavy duty truck though, soft ride is not part of the design.

Trade it in for a 1500 with air.
