Quality light bars at a good price

Anyone have any brands of light bars that are well made? Or anyone ever have luck with an eBay special? I think it's ridiculous what a rigid light bar cost, I feel like tour just paying for the brand name!

I like the cheapo amazon ones. Installed a lot of different ones on my friends rock crawlers I’ve built and they all work well. The 2 on my Toyota truggy have been through 2 rollovers and still work great.
I don’t see the point in spending that much on a light bar. Especially when you can buy 5+ of them for the price of 1 name brand bar.

I have some cheap amazon light bars and some Rigid and Baja Designs cubes as well. I have to honestly say for day to day stuff you can't beat the cheap bars. I really can't see That much difference between them at all. I've had the cheapos on the truck for years and still working fine. From the winters of Colorado to the heat and humidity of Georgia and no issues.

Now if I was racing the Baja 1000 I would spend the extra money but I just can't see them being worth 10+ times the money for a daily driver?

I like to buy it once and forget about it.
Good quality does that for you in my opinion.
I do, however, wait or look for a sale on what I want to try to keep the cost down.

Is there a difference in light output of the cheap bars are the same wattage and what not as the name brand? I am the same way but once and forget about it but I’m mainly just using it for when I drive at night on the country roads or when I’m going snowmobiling up north!

I had a Westin 24in light bar mounted to a Smittthilt bull bar on my last truck. The Westin wasnít cheap by any means, not Rigid expensive but not Amazon cheap.

Anyways, less than 2yrs later the black paint had pitted and flaked off, plus the lense would fill with water.

The next lightbar and cubes I bought were amazon specials because I can replace them 3 times for what a name-brand light would cost. Havenít installed them yet but will before winter.

I had the Traveller brand light bar from Tractor Supply on my front bumper for over two years and was completely satisfied with it.
Shortly after getting stationed at JBER my light bar was stolen at a hotel in Anchorage.
Since Tractor Supply isn't up here and they don't ship up here I used Amazon for a replacement. 4wdking is the brand I chose and am pleased so far after a couple of weeks.
One thing I looked for was at least an IP68 rating. It seems that a lot online are only IP67 rated.

I can't figure out what the brand is, but I have a 29" quad-row light bar that I purchased on ebay. It is insanely bright, and after 2 years of extreme Kansas temperature changes (I mean below zero wind chill in the winter and over 110 heat index in the summer) the glass is still crystal clear and there is no moisture inside. I haven't tested its impact resistance, but the housing seems very sturdy.

What’s a good wattage and lumens for the best and brightest light output?

Many companies claim high output but when tested, fall well short of advertised.
It’s like buying a big box of corn flakes and finding it 1/2 full on opening.

Google is your friend. If you find something you like, look at reviews.

I bought a 20” BrightSource All Spot LED lightbar on sale. Reg $400 bought for $200.
10,700 Lumins. Housing is still all black, glass is as clear as the day I bought it. Not one spot of humidity inside.

How do I keep from getting it stolen? I mounted it in my bumper and installed all fog cubes beside It. There is a series of things to dismantle before the light bar can come off.

Use torx or security screws something someone doesn't generally carry in their toolbox. If someone wants it bad enough they will always find a way. The idea is to just make it a bigger hasle.
