i bought my 2017 used and i cant find a lug nut key to take off the "locking" lug nuts, is this a factory lug nut and any other place where i could get a lug nut key to remove them, or best bet to contact dealer

google it, you can get a socket that is just a little to small and hammer it on, then take it off. I have done it many times. The socket will not be usable again because you will never get that locking lugnut out. Not sure what type of lock that is but I have done it on many types. Usually buy 4 sockets and throw them out. I do not recall what size, but I think its dependent on the lock.

If you bought it from a dealer take it in and have them remove them. It was probably throw out when the cleaned it. Make sure you check under the passenger seat in case its with the jack stuff

Most any decent tire store will have a tool to get them off, then just replace them with new. No way to get a new key without the original code that came with the locks.

You can get a reusable removal tool:

... or a limited use, similar but not as robust tool, through a variety of places, even Amazon. I find that only having the more costly high quality, re-usable tool around -- actually, a set of various sizes of all such tools --

... is sufficient proof against, say, leaving the locking key in place on the last wheel to go on, which is invariably that corner which passes over the sewer grate at the sharp turn at the bottom of our hill, at precisely the correct location to swallow said key the instant it pops off the aforementioned last wheel to be torqued....

Well, if there was then it would kind of defeat the purpose of a wheel lock, wouldn't it?

I've used the socket trick -It works!

1st try I used a cheap socket it split.

2nd try I used a SK socket it worked fine. Then Just beat out the lugnut and go on with life.

They can't do anything without the code from the locks which is on the registration card that came with them.

Guessing that since the truck was bought used, that paperwork is missing.
