I have them in my high beams. I have the 9012's in my lows and they are much better than stock.
I drive over two mountain passes four to five times a month, lots of stupid four legged animals to deal with and my lights work great.

I'd like to add that I was always concerned about reliability and durability with the HID Kit that was installed in my truck. Using the HIR 9011's and HIR2 9012's has alleviated those concerns. Note, it was not a Morimoto kit, it was, IIRC, a Race Me (?) and it was a POS kit. The light output was great, but the output I have now is more than satisfactory and if I need a boost, I have a Vision X light bar between the tow hooks that provides instant daylight.
I had the HID's "professionally" installed, when I removed the kit, I couldn't believe the shoddy work that was done! The dust caps were butchered beyond belief!
