Pin code question?

Just a quick question on the 4 digit pin code...I recently got my code from a dealer..Im going to use it to reset my tpms threshold...Just wondering if I have a time limit with that code or is it the same forever?
thanks

I believe itís a life code, non rolling.

Out of curiosity, did the dealer give you a hard time?

Why not use AlfaPBD to reset the thresholds?

You gotta have the pin to change it in AlfaOBD. My dealer didn't give me any flak about giving me mine for the TPMS or radio.

I have successfully changed mine with AlfaOBD several times and I don't have the code.

Not sure about the '13s, but on the newer ones you can change the thresholds in the BCM without the PIN, but the PIN is used to then update the RF hub.

If you did not use a PIN when you used alfa, then you did not successfully change the thresholds. You may have changed them in the BCM under programming features, but the rf hub wonít recognize the new thresholds until it is updated.

Updated and works just fine on my truck. I've had the thresholds set as low as 30psi, currently set at 65psi in the front and 50psi in the rear, no tire light illuminated. The factory default for the "heavy load" was 75 front and 75 rear I believe.

Possibly something that changed after the 2013. I know the 2014+ don't have the "Light Load/Heavy Load" switch.
