Yes, you need a bypass. If youíre getting it from ramforum member deereguy (kaodtech.com), you need to tell him itís for a 2019 HD ram. The can ihs connectors are different between 2018-2019 and 1500s & HDs. If youíre getting the block that replaces the actual gateway behind the radio, it should be the same for 2019, but Iím not 100% sure.

yah, i was looking at the block vs what is on kaodtech website. the only bypass on that website shows out of stock...
i'll just get the block for now. thanks, gents.

Has anyone noticed the passenger side DRL flickering? I have LED bulbs and have the DRLs set to low beams. I am wondering if maybe the voltage sent to the low beam for DRL is causing the flickering because it does not flicker when lights are set to on.

The target voltage for the DRLs is set at 7.4v, so that might be why the LED flickers. If you go under CBC external lights, step up the target voltage for the left and right side DRL and see if that helps.

Ok, Iíll give that a try.

My LEDs did the same with DRL set as low beam. Only when the DRL was on and only when I installed my LEDs. With my factory halogen the DRL did not flicker. The fix for me was enabling 'high intensity discharge lamps'!

Look up OBDLink MX ($59), get an Android tablet or phone, down load Alpha OBD from the App Store.. if u have an 18 or 19, u need the security bypass cable

I have LED low beams enabled but maybe I’ll switch it to what you mentioned to see if it solves it.

I didnít even think to ask you about this. Try the HID setting first like mentioned above. The LED low beam setting doesnít seem to do anything.
