Ok, if those are set (or, at least flash lights), do the tail light turn signals flash when you hit lock or unlock?

Sorry should have been more specific, yes the rest of the lights flash when locking or unlocking.

Nick was right it has to do with the wiring of my RGB controller. Just ran out to mess with the wiring and hooking it up straight to the battery the lights flash when locking and unlocking. With it wired like that the lights stay on permanently.

Final question with this new information, is there power source that powers on when the car is unlocked and stays powered until locked?

Question,

Today i added the 8.4 radio and leather steering wheel w/radio controls. I also added the 110v outlet to the center console. Do i need to activate the outlet with alfa OBD? The wiring harness was already behind my stock panel. After i plugged it in i just get a little yellow light on the front of the outlet, it won't power anything up that i plug into it.

Did you install the inverter under the passenger seat?

Nope, didn't know what all was involved. Figured i just had to put the outlet in since the plug from the wiring harness was already there. There must be a fuse in the fuse box for it since i get the yellow light on the outlet. Guess i will have to source an inverter.

In order to use the factory outlet, youíll have to use the factory inverter, and wire it up as such. In this thread, I did a quick write up on how to do it, including the AlfaOBD settings. https://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/2...tradesman.html

Edit above: that write up I did is specifically for 2017+ rams, and I just noticed your sig says you have a 2014? Let me know if you are going to go through with it, as there are some minor wiring differences for your MY truck.

Yeah, i'm more than likely going to go through with it. I can always use an extra place to charge a phone or lap top when we travel. I'm gonna swing by the scrap yard that i got the parts from to see if they have the inverter and bracket.

I was question the alpha obd until I did it! I ordered the recommended OBD reader on amazon downloaded the app and followed youtube directions!! Just adjusting the TPMS threshholds was worth all of the money to do this - I HATED THAT DAMN LIGHT!!!! lol I also added a mopar factory trailer brake to my truck and activated all settings, adjusted lights for led capability. Been an amazing tool for my truck!!! If you are hesitant and your reading this dont be I am so glad I did it!

For those with 2018's, do you remove your security bypass OBD wire harness prior to oil changes or service work at the dealership? I am assuming a yes for service work, but for oil changes is it necessary? Thanks.
