Installed Diode Dynamics HIDs last night

I had a Grand Cherokee before my current Ram and it had HIDs. I guess I got spoiled by them because the halogens in the Ram just weren't cutting it (still don't know why they don't offer HIDs in them). I researched the options a lot and settled on Diode Dynamics and so far have been very impressed with the quality of all the hardware and functionality of the lights. No error codes so far.

I also wanted to get the most accurate before and after pictures that I could since just using a cell phone won't give an accurate difference since it'll adjust the ISO and exposure based on the increased light thus making the HIDs look less bright than they are - and also making the before picture look less yellow. I was big into photography for a while so I know how to set everything manually on my DSLR. The before and after pictures below are taken in the same spot with the same ISO, aperture, exposure, focal length, and white balance. I must have taken 20 photos to get the before photo to as closely match what I was seeing with my eyes as possible. Once I was satisfied with those settings, I used those sames ones for the after photos. IMO, this is the most accurate before/after pictures of these bulbs out there.

Thank you for doing this. This is great and as a Photographer myself I really appreciate the effort in getting accurate set of pictures. I love the Tungsten trim but wish this was the extra step Ram would take on the headlights. In a world that has had LEDs for many years, they could have make the jump before the big revision.

They are the 5000K 35W kit (Diode Dynamics only sells 35W kits). I also got the anti-flicker modules. Here's a direct link to them: https://www.diodedynamics.com/low-be...projector.html

It seems to have a pretty good spread. The output and pattern isn't far off from what my Grand Cherokee did.

Please post up how you like them after a period of time. I ended up picking up some 9005 Phillips 100+ for the time being in the low/high until I could do some more digging on HID replacements. I will need four 9005's, two 9006's, and two H9's which they all seem to have in 4300k or 5000k.

Iím not surprised, the pics show a nice cutoff of light. The trees for example donít seem to light up at all

Any issues as we approach the end of the year? How are they holding up?

Still going strong. Haven't had any issues with them yet. They do take considerably longer than OEM HID bulbs (comparing to the ones on my Grand Cherokee) to warm up (~10-15 seconds) but they are bright once warmed up.
