P2002 help

Has anyone ever figured out how to get rid of the p2002 particulate filter below efficiency code? I had this come up with my egr unplugged, I've tried clearing it, I've let it go through 2 regen cycles, I unhooked the batteries for an hour. I don't have a cel, but it's coming up as an active soft code and it has me in derate (20psi boost max after spiking to 30psi) I don't really want to go to the dealer if not neccecary

So I ran the truck a few hundred miles, the codes cleared, the emission monitors have all been reset, I have a green light telling me it could be emissions tested, everything seems to be 100% but my derate is still there, I tried going to my local dodge dealer to get them to put the star scan on it and they told me they didnt have time so I drove 100miles to the nearest dealership to my town and got the same answer... Can anyone shed some light on this before I trade this pig off on a dirtymax?

I typed P2002 fix in the search bar, and came up with the above thread, and several others if you are interested in reading. You said you have unplugged your EGR, have you tried plugging it back in? I have read on the 2012's that unplugging the EGR will give a derate. Don't get rid of your truck. You'd miss it if you got a Chevy.

Thanks for the reply, but yes it is plugged back in, I did know unplugging it would derate the engine(I ran this way last year for a while) but the last time I plugged back in, I got my power back as soon as I cleared the codes... Not this time though

Well just as an update, I got my truck into the dealership and they found no codes and no reason for the derate, so they re flashed the truck (same flash that was currently in the truck) and it is now back in action, making full power.

No, I'll keep the cummins, but I don't know if I will time out my warranty before some parts accidentally get knocked off while I'm under it doing an oil change... Tough call on if I should delete or not
