Does anybody know what the difference is between an 07.5-09 6.7L cylinder head and '10 and up cylinder head? I'm seeing two different part #'s and a considerable difference in price.
Could be something simple. On a 60 series they have 2 heads identical head but on the one the valve guides are ceramic coated for heat. Other then that identical heads. Maybe Cummins did something of the same cause aren't the 10 and up engines higher horsepower and more torque? Cylinder temps maybe higher too. Check into it.
I have it here. Ready to go on the truck. I'm going to check it out and see if I can see anything. I am curious about the valves and guides and seats. I will talk to my machinist.
