Front wheel bearing issues

Hello everyone im having a little issue i blew a wheel bearing out on the road and the closest parts store was napa and i put in and got back home from Texas so i was thinking i might as well do the other side when I got home so got another bearing and put it in well i noticed after I put the new 1 in there was about an 1/8 inch or more of play in it so i went on with my business and I had an axle u joint go out so i figured I would take the wheel bearings back and exchange them well The new 1s i installed have the something going on is this normal play or am i getting junk thank u all in advance and yes I torqued them to 200

What brand did you go with? I put on two different Timken assemblies and both had more play than I liked. I have been using moog since and they are nice and tight.

I have moogs in my 08, I know moog doesnít have a good rep anymore, but 33k and still working fine. They were cheap enough, if I get 60-90k I will be happy. Iím kinda hard on them too with bumpy dirt roads, Texas sizes pot holes and speed bumps I donít slow much for haha.

I run Indiana to Dallas 2 times a week so I keep an old 1 with me for exchange if another 1 goes out

I’ve got Napa on mine as well. Just replaced myself 2k miles ago without issue.
