T.Q. question

Ok so im getting my transmission rebuilt as we speak i don't want to go crazy On price but i don't want to use a factory tq is a single disc an ok option i don't race my truck or tow anything just a daily driver. My truck lasted 208k miles on the original transmission. The shop seemed surprised it lasted this long?

If your running stock power/tuning I'd probably just got with a stock rebuild. Maybe a valve body. But 208k is not too bad I'd say.

I have a smarty tuner i leave it ok fuel saver setting and have all the deletes done

Ah well then someone smarter than me on autos will need to weigh in here. But if I were in your shoes I'd call revmax and pick their brains. They seem to be a very top notch 68 builder and easy to talk to from what I read.

Whatís a stock rebuild cost in theses babies? 3500? Id just shell out the 6k for a good tow trans personally.

I guess if I didnít tow much and ran stock tune thereís no need for more than a stock rebuild. But if you did you in for a much for fun to drive truck.

Maybe also just a stock rebuilt + van and trans tune? What would be a sweet little setup.
