Bout the same thing. Also greatly depends on where you are at. Guys in smog area's either put it all back to stock everytime or go with a stealth delete. (Ie leave it all in place, turn off egr and gut out exhaust)

You really just have to be smarty about it. I'm in Amarillo. So I haven't had problem yet. But when I get pulled over I turn it off just as soon as I stop. I haven't been stopped by a TXDOT guy yet. Shouldn't be any reason as I don't tow commerical.

Just depends on your situation really.
I don't know what the actual fine would be if you were to get caught, but I'm sure its probably fairly steep. Considering your now on a federal level (Its a federal emissions law to start with, then states pick up where it lets off.)

Good luck. I've had two inspections with mine deleted, been pulled over multiple times, no issues yet.

Advice please....

Just joined the site, so forgive my lack of knowledge here.
I have a stock 2011 2500 6.7 and was thinking about the Smarty Jr. Do I also have to use the DPF Delete Pipe along with this tuner or can it be used alone? I am hoping for better fuel economy only, don't need any extra performance. Thanks.

Are these new trucks junk compared to the 5.9 liter? I love my dodge but just want a newer one but I keep getting told I'm much better off keeping mine or finding a lower mileage 06 with 5.9. The dealer even told me the 6.7 increased the value of all the ones with the 5.9 Is this true? My uncle bought 2 08 with 6.7 and now wants to sell them to find low mileage dodges with 5.9 but I'm really not sure why. I have a chance to buy a 08 with warranty 21000 miles mega-cab big horn 4*4 with all the extras for 19000 but I don't want to make a mistake so please clue me in.
if u dont want it ill buy it >.> thats an awesome price right there!!!!!!!!

At that price you could buy it and sell it on for a 6-10k profit.

An 08 with 21k miles on it will go for around 30k with 13% ontario sales tax
