I'd say no. Especially if it's getting flat milled

Anyone know why lazar smith gasket for 6.7 is 300$? Should I get it or OEM?

On reassemble make sure you torque 15/16 nut on crossover tube to 37 lbs. My head resurfacing cost 60 at an automotive machine shop and additional 30 for pressure test.

I would add to the OP. Take note of how the valve bridges came off, they come both ways from factory but you want to put it back on the same way you too it off.. I knocked one of mine off while doing a valve leash at 200k, put it back on and then 12k later the head is at the machine shop getting new valves because the bridge wore funny.

I blew my head gasket the other day on a hard pull with my camper truck only has 10200 miles. Should I buy any parts other than a new gasket and machine the head? Parts like new injector washers or small parts while it is apart I want to do it right. Found out the mechanic that worked on it for the original owner did not install the head studs like he was supposed to. so I am going to install 425's while apart.

2012 Quad Cab 2500 4X4 six speed, 5"Flopro TBE w/ muffler, 30" resonator ,2"level,Thuren track bar and control arms. 325-70-17 tires on factory wheels. ARP 425 head studs, Hamilton 103# valve springs. Anarchy S464 second gen swap. Fass 150. ATS twin fueler, GDP 150hp nozzles, bean's sump, ATS fuel rail plug. Valair quiet organic DD clutch. Anarchy 464 64/83/.9 second gen swap and EFI Live tuning, Edge CTS monitor, Airlift rear airbags. 614hp./1289tq.

I got one and blew it too. New factory will replace it soon as I get a few days off to R&R it
