Air dog fuel pump

Was wondering if you can run your fuel line through the factory fuel filter just for having a little extra filtration? All the install videos I have seen say to run it directly to the cp3

Yes you can, but there's some here including myself that kept the factory setup with and capped the factory filter for back up. Then install the pump utilizing a sump connected directly to the CP3. There's also some claims that it restrict the flow, but as far as i know the micron on the factory filter is larger than the aftermarket pumps, the only advantage that i can think of connecting to the factory filter is the heater, for some its necessary and others dont. But most aftermarket pump do have that ability to heat up the fuel anyway. Goodluck!

If you look at the size of the factory lines and the size of AD hose, you'll quickly see the restriction. Your sig isn't complete, but if you have a modified fuel system that's going to need more fuel than stock, I would go straight to your CP3
