any western wyoer's

well, wonderinf anyone's from rock springs, pinedale or green river area, most likely moving to that area this july, but looking to hear some good aside from the ungodly pricy real estate & parceling out i've seen, either i've been living in the past, or did the south western section of wyo turn into a housing development. everything else sounds awesome & i really dont want to think so. thanks for any input, feel free to pm, really looking for some help from some western wyoming guys.

the western part of the state is the nicest part. really pretty, but they have some nasty winters.

well, never been to pinedale, actually really liked everything i've seen & heard about it, wish i could move there, but dunno about work, maybe after a few yrs though or possibly big piney. somewhere in that area. but the ram w/ cummins is defintly a sweet truck, hopefully not too long after i move out west i'll get one, but prolly not while still in school.

It's not just western WY, the real estate thing is stupid in the entire state. The western part is pretty, but not quite to my tastes overall. The winters can get really crappy out here in any part of the state.

Snow + subzero temps + 60mph winds = lots of time spent indoors. Ever wonder why half the people born here are born between Sept and Nov ??? Think about it!

Im in Green River...theres a Cummins dealer in Rock Springs thats hiring now...Farsons a s***hole, plus there isnt anything there. There really isnt much in Pinedale either for that matter, except a bunch of REAL overpriced housing. Youd be better off moving to Rock Springs or here in Green River. Still overpriced, but not as bad as Pinedale and theres more in both towns. And as far as a job, if the mechanic part didnt work out, theres plenty of oilfield jobs that are always hiring.

From Pinedale here. Its a lovely area but youre right, the real estate is crazy high here mainly due to the gas and oil development here. If you love the outdoors, its a great place to live and there are a lot of cummins here.
