Starter Rebuild #2

This actually makes the fourth time I have had to pull the starter out of the truck. It turns out the place I had taken it to in Laramie to get rebuilt with the heavy duty contacts and such. Did not use them, but they did charge me for them. Over $140 in parts and labor to rebuild it.

The guy I took it too here in Casper showed me the difference in the parts he took out and what he was going to put in. I got better parts and it didn't even take a day to have it done. $62 bucks for this rebuild.

I know I could have probably done it myself, but I wanted to look for work not mess with a starter.

Sounds like a call to the place in Laramie might be in order. I lost my starter about a month and a half ago up at albany county lodge. The lower bracket completely broke and the bolt wouldnt hold anything in place.

It lasted long enough its out of their rather short warranty. Pretty sure this time it is going to last a long time.
