These guys make the best transmissions I've ever seen: Goerend Transmission Incorporated

At least one of our site sponsors is an approved vendor for them and could hook you up I'm sure.

Here's another vote for a Goerend tranny.

First comes this--, then comes this

For me it was a toss up between a Goerends and a Suncoast. I called Goerends numerous times and didn't get a reply until I already ordered my Suncoast parts. My buddy and I built my trans. I got a Suncoast triple disk t/c, custom built v/b, extreme duty rebuild kit (clutches, steels, bigger hold down lever, etc.,), double deep Mag-Hytec trans pan, and shipping for the t/c and v/b cores back for $2700. About 700 miles on it I was having shifting issues with it. I called Suncoast and they were all over it like a pack of dogs on a three legged cat. I also called my buddy who said the same thing as Suncoast. The govenor selnoid filter was getting plugged. Very simple fix and no issues since, that was 7 months and a few sled pulls ago. I really love it. It shifts pretty firm, I wished it shifted just a little bit harder, but I have no complaints. When I went sled pulling it would grab third and just take off down the track. The lock-up is so strong when the sled stops the truck it is still locked up in third and digging holes in the hard clay track.
