Anyone know anything about this compound turbo setup?

I just picked this turbo up off of craiglist simply because its awesome. I have tried searching for more info on it but there is nothing online.

It is a Borg Warner, the larger turbo is bigger than an hx35 and the smaller turbo is slightly smaller than the hx35. there is a 14.0 on the big housing and an 10.9 on the smaller housing. Built in wastegate between the two.

bwts # 178905
part # 1889587c91

So I did some more measuring on this setup.

Large turbo has a 17.5 A/R and a 65mm turbine. Compressor wheel is a 7 blade 61mm inducer and 87.5mm exducer.

So the big turbo is a 61/65/14 ?

Small turbo has a 14.0 A/R and I cant get to the turbine without disassembling the entire thing. The compressor wheel is a 6 blade 46mm inducer and 60mm exducer.

So the small turbo is a 46/?/10.9

Does this seem to be a good sized compound setup for a 12v? It should spool up very fast and flow decent up top?

The way the wastegate is integrated is that once the small turbo spools, it opens a flapper to direct exhaust flow to the larger turbo. Basically a quick spool valve between the two chargers.

I am hoping for a lighting fast spool up if this thing is worth using.

Looks like a factory set up off of a newer Ford. You'd have to fab up a way to get the exhaust from your manifold to that set up.

These turbos are prototypes off a 12 or 15 liter test engine. There should be an other set of these floating around Denver. we're tested for an ice road truck but didn't work so well.
