Hi Tom I saw your post, & picture of "what you tow" . Excuse my ignorance but I thought towing a trailer & a boat behind that was illegial in MN?
I would like to do that someday. I had an uncle that used to tow a trailer & boat all over MT for years until he passed away recently. His experience with his CTD was one of the reasons I bought mine. He really put that pickup through its paces and he never had any trouble. Anyway sorry so long post..

I made my very first tow today with my new (well, new to me: I've had it less than 2 weeks) 2001 Ram 2500. It was awesome!

This is what I use most of the time, this is a load of sawdust, I haul mulch, sawdust, logs, stone, anything and everything.

Hauled a Kenworth form chico C.A. to Fortuna C.A. over the steepest windiest road around on a 24 Ft gooseneck trailer all together wieghed in at 29500

My uncle has an 04.5 third gen. H/O, and he said he hauls 17 round bales at a time, about 1000 pounds a piece, on a big flatbed going 70 mph solid for 100 miles at a time all day long and gets about 12 mpg. thats what cummins is all about.

I tow the 26ft toyhauler. That's about the only thing heavy. The wife has bought enuff stuff at flea markets that i thought i was going to need the flatbed.
