flatbed attachment question
I bought a used flatbed to put on my 04 dually and it is held on with 6 1/2 inch bolts that go through the top of the box frame where the box attached. My question is whether this is secure enough for towing some pretty large gooseneck trailers, I guess I dont know a lot about it but it seems that the bolts should be heavier than this. The trailers Im towing are in excess of 20K. There is also a 5 foot stretch between the front four bolts and the back two so there is a 1 1/2 gap between the flatbed frame and the pickup frame.

my c&m bed has 6 tabs that bolt thru the frame from the side. i use grade 8 bolts. if the hitch is from the factory its designed for hauling. my hitch is attached to the bed not my truck but the bed has its own frame and i tow 20k and more all the time
