what can my 2500 tow??

I'm looking to buy a gooseneck enclosed trailer to haul my race cars and I'm not sure what my 2500 can haul. The cars weigh 2300 each so it would be that weight and weight of all the other things...tools, generators, etc... Just not sure what my truck can safely pull. I see alot of 42' to 48' foot trailers being pulled by 1 tons is the reason I ask..

so that means my trailer and everything in it can't weigh more than 13,600? What do you mean by payload? Stuff in the bed? Sorry thats a dumb question but my brain isn't working much tonight.
