Best level Kit? Pucks or springs?
I have a friend that tried pucks on his 2004 dodge to level it and he said he didn't like it and it rattled over bumps, etc. He went to springs and liked it better. I think d25? springs or something like that. Do others find this true and is there a difference for my 2007.5 6.7ctd 2500 pickup over earlier years? On my older fords I did springs on the lifts instead of blocks to get better articualtion/travel but I don't want to lift this much as its too much of a pain for a work rig. Just maybe 2" level and 33-35's on stock alloy wheels if possible. I'm in oregon but don't mind ordering and installing stuff myself if you folks have input for me. Thanks, jd

I have used home built coil spring spacers on two different occasions. The first time I built 2.5 inch spacers and I didn't like them. There was a lot of rattling and it felt like the front axle was jumping up and down excessively. It also fish-tailed a lot on wash boarded dirt roads. The second time I made them I spent a little more time and got a true 2 inch lift. I liked them. They fit the coil snug and had no rattles, no more fish-tailing. Then about a month ago I found a really good deal on a new KORE leveling kit on ebay from a private seller. At first I didn't like them and I got on here KORE leveling kit question. to complain. But now after almost a month I love it! The ride is superior on dirt roads and pretty darn good at highway speeds. I honestly believe that there is a break in period for these springs. This thing settled down 1.5 inches and now sits level. I measured before and after the springs were installed. Springs gave me 3 and 5/8ths lift about ten minutes after install. I drove it for two weeks and noticed the ride was better. Now after a month it is awesome. Now I just need to get me the rear mini coil packs because I can't feel most bumps when the fronts hit but the rear bounces pretty good on cracks and expansion joints. Sorry for being so long but I thought all my knowledge on the subject would help you better than saying "THEY ARE TEH SHIZNITE!!" Good luck with your choice!

I went with KORE. I heard nothing but good about them on this site. I would go with this KORE HP Leveling Kit 1998-2008 Diesel Kit says 1998 to 2008 so you should be good. From what I read in other posts on here is that the other "Name Brand" springs such as Rancho or Superlift give a harsh ride, pretty stiff and un satisfactory. I can't seem to find the post now or I would link to it for you. Good Luck!

Yup I had my 2" spacers and I really liked it. I think it all depends on how much lift you want out of it. The 2.5 was awefull, the 2" was like factory ride (which in a 2500 is acceptable) and the Kore was pretty darn good. Now don't get me wrong guys, It won't make it ride or handle like a sports car, think of the Kore springs as "making it ride like a 1500 pickup"!

you won"t be dissappointed! I learned the hard/expensive way and went with the spacers first. Progressive rate coils with good shocks are where its at for ride quailty and worth evey penny.

I used the Hell Bent Steel 2" kit and it's been great. Ride is as good as stock, truck is level and the extra 2" front travel has been great.
