19.5 vs road hazards???

I'm looking at getting a set of 19.5's for my 2500 to help tow my 5th wheel with. Some reasons are the extra tread life plus the extra weight capabilities but how much better do they hold up against blowouts? I'm assuming due to the extra thickness of the rubber and extra plys that they are much better than stock tires (265R70 17). What are some of your alls experience with them towing?

Thanks!

I had 19.5's on my 03 dually. Towing they were beyond awesome. I will say that you will want to do plenty of research on shocks, as the 19.5's will ride much rougher and you will want to find a shock that will take some of that up.

I just put a set of dura grapplers on thusday and they ride alot stiffer than anything I've ever had. They have tons of tread also. You might save some money and check them out.

Yeah, I was looking at also adding a set of Bilstein Silver/Black shocks since I'm sure the OEM ones are shot. Just trying to find as much ammo to convince the wife that it's a good upgrade. I'll also be adding a set of PacBrake airbags at the same time.
