Wrong wheels mounted

I just got new wheels and tires, here is the thread with pictures Got my new wheels/tires

Well it seems that the offset on the wheels is not what they are supposed to be. I got these at Discount Tire and the receipt and everything says they are supposed to be 25mm offset but the box I have says they are 10mm. Of course I like the look but now I wonder if it would look better with the 25mm that they should be.

What would you do?

IMO, I like wheels that stick out. I would probably go back to get the 25mm offset ones. I think my rims have a 45mm offset and I couldn't be more happy! Really, it's just up to what you like. Good looking truck either way! :thumbsup

I like the way the 10mm et sit personally. Gives the truck a more aggressive stance. I would contact the store and let them know they put on the wrong wheel. They need to correct there inventory LOL.

Well they weren't in inventory they had to order them.

Yeah I think they look pretty good but now of course I have that "I wonder if the ones I ordered would look better" thing in the back of my head. Plus I wanted teh 25mm (6" BS) because I think that works best with the largest range of tires with out issues.

So are you clearing the 10mm offset rims and 305 tires with no leveling kit? I really like the look and I want to do something similar but I don't want rubbing on the body.

Yeah there is no problems at all with clearing anything, there is plenty of room. The tires are 305/60/18 KM2's, according to their specs they aren't much taller than the 265's (confirmed by putting them next to each other).

The rims are 18x9's with 10mm offset.

Understandable.

The 25mm et will pull the wheel inward 1/2" from where they are sitting now.

Yeah I know, which doesn't seem like much. The problem is it took me 4 years to decide on rims and tires and thought I had it perfect when I saw them on the truck, no I am not sure again...............am I becoming a woman?

a 25 mm offset will put your truck back to the stock look.... trust me you'll like the wider stance... i bought some with a big offset... next week or so i ordered another set... travis can vouch for that... love the way it looks now bud!:thumbsup

the 60 number in your new tires is the height... The 305 is width and 265 is width...
