305X70-17 on 2006

My dad is wanting to put a Nitto 305X70-17 on his 2006. The specs say they are 33.98 tall. Will he be able to put these on his truck with stock rims and no leveling kit without any issues? Does anyone have this particular tire and if so, what do you think of them? Anything comparable for less $$$$ ?

They are a good tire i run them on my 01 in a 315/70/16. I have 305/70/17 goodyear mt/rs on my 04.5 stock height and no rub at all, you can fit a 315 on these trucks stock with no rubbing. Nitto and goodyear are the only ones that make a 305/70/17, everybody else makes a 305/65/17.

Thanks for the reply. I was told a 315 would rub that is why I have a leveling kit. I'll let him know.

some people have rubbing issues with 35s or 315s, but a leveling kit can make one side rub and the other clear (because the axle moves over without an adjustable trackbar).

do the 305's:thumbsup
