MPG killer?

I have a 2006 6spd 4x4, stock gears.
If i do a leveling kit and put 35x12.5-17 cooper ATR or similar tire. Will that kill my MPG? Should it help since my truck is reving so high at 65 to begin with?

i got the 2003 with 3.73 in the rear with leveling kit and 35's. i also run a bullydog programmer on tow which is a 30hp boost and last time i filled up and did the math i was getting 12.1 all around town with a slight heavy foot...(thats on paper not the over head)

Around town you'll lose due to big tires...on the highway you may see a gain because of the tires but you will lose some due to the level. Had a 2nd gen leveled w/35s and it was a solid 13/15 city/h-way. All depends on how you drive though.

I have 31's with 4.10's and I hate it. It should be perfect when I get 35's

35's and 4.10's still rev high on the highway...it gets up and goes though around town...3.73's and 35's shouldn't hurt you too bad, maybe a little around town but nothing to bad to stop you from doing it

Last time I checked 12 isn't bad for our big lifted oversized tire full size trucks. Unless your one of those people who think their Cummins gets 30 miles per gallon pulling 20000 pounds uphill in a headwind.

No but i do get an average of 22mpg hand calc. With my stock tires. So to go up 4 inches and loose 8mpg. Ya that a big kick in the face.

after putting on 35's. dont know how it'll
average out, but it did lower it.
