balancing 19.5's?

anyone running 19.5's that are well balanced? can't seem to get mine to balance and run smooth. they are on stock steel dually rims. I like to run them for towing, but the bouncing gets old quick. the rims are straight.
also, what pressures are you running front and rear?

i'm interested so I am subscribing. I have heard good things about the centramatic tire balancers but I haven't bought any yet to try them out. I almost have my dad sold on a set first so that he can get a review.

rickson wheels 1-800-587-7633 out of maryland is the only place i know of that will take the high spot on a rim and high spot on the tires and match them up and will scrub the tire to be a perfect in true/round tire. they lifetime warranty the balance also. if you ever looked at any big rig, there tires are anything but true and its mostly in the tire. hope this helps

Most these commercial tires are out of round, even if they are brand new. More than likely its all coming from the tires. One option is to have the tires shaved and then spun balanced on a computer tire balancer. This should take care of your problem. I don't know what the guys are running for air pressure in the 19.5s, but for an example, I'm running 60psi in the fronts and 40psi in the rears with the 22.5s.

70? yikes. I lowered them to 55 to save my dental fillings. was a bit rough above 60. guess I'll look into shaving them round and rebalancing them. the fronts ok, just the rear is lumpy.

oh, anyone else notice a mileage reduction running them? I guess since they're so heavy?

Ask your commercial tire shop about "equal" tire balancer. They should know what it is.
