+1, but I eliminated mine by changing the backspacing on my inner duals. I put up a thread on it. I only went 1.5", and I think it MAY have not been enough.

315/75/16s on my dually. Have towed a few boats and a few loads(loads around 7500lbs and boats around 5000) and no problems with a 2" spacers.

I'll be selling my 2" spacers this winter along with my 315/75/16s to get my 37s and 3" spacer

Hmm, maybe there are different backspacings on the factory wheels. On mine, with Cooper 315x75r16's they had 1" between the sidewalls with the 2" spacer, and The Coopers have sidewall lugs. Or perhaps some tires bulge more or have more section width than they should. I hauled 3k in the bed now and then, and with the 2" spacer, even when I parked on something funny, the sidewall was nowhere NEAR touching. With the right circumstances my current setup just barely touches, so I am guessing it must contact a little now and then on bumps.
