Biggest wheel and tire combo for 04 2500 with STOCK suspension

Hey guys,

I am a general contractor out of Jersey. I currently drive a 94 f350 with the 7.5 460ci gas big block. She has 140K and is tired. So am looking at a 03-05. I'd consider a 00-02 but figured, the newer the better. Right? Anyways my pops has a 04 3500 cummins dually, and has never had 1 prob since he bought it brand new. Anyways I will be buying (W/I the next few weeks) a 03-05 2500 (maybe 3500) cummins Deff 4x4 and 8' bed. The suspension with deff be stock W/no lift at all. What is the biggest wheel and tire I could put on there W/O rubbing, but still filling out that wheelwell. Also what do you reccomend for tires and tire size (and also wheels). The truck will be pulling a dump trailor and/or a 6x18 enclosed trailor (tools+material) but never too much in the bed. The truck will also be my DD after work is done.

Basically I want to fill in the wheelwell WITHOUT Rubbing while driving/hitting a bump/fully turned, Get the truck up in the air some, Look badass.....but don't want to do any suspension work (considering I'll be tapped out after the purchase...but it will be worth it)

Leaning towards 18's....pics will be helpful. truck WILL be black

Thanks!!

Oh...Thats a good idea. It would save me some cash on the wheels. But would they NEVER rub under any circumstance (bumps, wheel turned all the way, ect)
I like the stock wheels, but there is so much room in the damn wheelwell. Do you happen to have any pics of them on there with the truck unlifted? I'd LOVE to see em!

I had the tires on before the lift and did not have a problem. I prefer the look of the stock wheels, and yes that did save me some cash! You don't have to believe me thats fine, just putting in my two cents!

No man...I believe you. I just wanted to see the pics to see what it looks like. I just tried searching online though, and people say it rubs when fully turned, and they had to do some tweeking on the suspension and other minor stuff. Is there a size bigger (taller+wider) than stock but smaller than the 315/70/17?

I'm not sure about a different tire size. I think someone makes a 305/70/17? A 2" spacer lift is what I did with custom 1.5" blocks in the rear. It doesn't cost much at all and would be a bit of insurance if you were worried about rubbing. Just a thought!

305/55/r20 will fill your wheel wells,i just lowered it from a 2 inch front lift and took out the spacers on the rear springs, sits pretty level,no rubbing with this set up or the previous one.

285/70/17 is a 33" tire. Go to tirerack .com. they have all the dimentions and sizes to chose from at great rates.

man i have 305/70/17 buckshots on stock rims, and even with a full load of hay 14, 1500lb bales even in the field and ruts and what not they didnt rub, i could have easly ran 315s but i generally dont run larger than a 33-34
