My First Diesel

I just bought my first diesel truck, a 1997 Ram 2500 4X4.I need some new tire advice. The truck has mismatched tires now, something that must be changed. Currently the tire size is 275/70R/16. I know the factory size is 245. I do not want to change the wheel size, so what size would be recommended by you guys? I was told I could go to 265s but the 275s are too big for the stock wheel. The truck will be used for light towing and almost all highway use. Thanks for the help!!

They are the original wheels. I am not sure of the exact size.

245/65/16? is stock size, and too small. I like 265/75/16's are what I run on both of mine, good size. It should say on a sticker on the rear of the cab when you open the drivers side door what the stock size is.

I think you are right about the size......I am out of town and could not check the sticker. Thanks. I was thinking about the 265/70/16 or 265/75/16
