tire opinions for duallies
Ok everyone i will be needing to invest in some sneakers before winter for my 06', I liked the generals but they seem to wear a bit quick (25000 miles) I dont want a tread thats real over the top aggressive nor to lame. Im not a real big fan of the bfg's. Im looking for some opinions so feel free to let me know what you think. What would be the next size over stock and if needed how big of spacer will i need for the rear????? Thanks everyone!

I had Cooper S/T in 285/70R17 on my truck before I put the BFGs on. They were ok, a good mix between a mud tire and an all terrain. I only had about 25k on them when I got my bfgs. They could have went another 8-10k. I never balanced them like I should have though. Heres what they size looks like. I also had the leveling kit with them.

I always thought the bfg's were lame until I got a free set of the all terrains, and after 40k of hard driving and a few smokey burnouts the rears are going to need replacing in the next 5k. I will get another set.

I know they are expensive, but Michelins are the only way to go in my opinion. However, didn't have the money this time so I bought a set of BFG commercial T/A's for the front, a lot of ambulances and construction/ work vehicles run them, and seem to get pretty good tread life out of them. I haven't had them on long, but I am happy so far. :thumbsup
