Stock to 33"s
After buying my first diesel trk today I had hopes of a better avg mpg. The best I got was 16 with the few mods I have in sig.. My plans were to go to a 35tire but I know that will kill my mpg. Any remember how much they lost in going to a 33? Again I appreciate all replys as a newbie Im a sponge.

I had about 1000 miles on my truck when I went to 285s. There really isn't much difference in mileage. In my case,I'm sure it was less than 1 mpg difference.

I went from the stock 265/70/17 Michelin's to an all terrain 285/70/17 and only lost about half a mile per gallon. That's driving 50% highway 50% country roads. Truck looks so much better.

Now that Im almost certain that I will go with 33's. I found that Toyo comes in the metric 275/70/18 or 33x12.5x18. Which is a better choice? I will put it on an Incubus wheel that has 0 offset.

With the 33s,you'd be losing almost 1000lbs of tire capacity over stock.
