I've got he Toyo AT's with stock suspension and wheels. No rubbing or any other problems. They look good and have been great in the snow here in Montana. Had the dealership re-calibrate the speedo for about $80. Will likely buy them again...hopefully it will be a while before I have to.

I love mine. Nitto offers the Dura Grappler in the same size also. My AT's have 24,000 on them with camper weight, zero rebalance or rotation(bought them from a friend). They should safely go another 15,000( I replace them prior to the wear bar showing.)

They're the same width. I can't answer the mileage question as I went from 285-70-17's to "75"s. Nothing beats stockers for mileage.

I have 305/60R17's and @ 60 I am running approx 1900 rpms. The 305/60's are 31.4" seems like I have 4.10 gears and I wanted to go taller for more mileage. Will this work for milage?

Are you talking about mileage out of the tire or out of your tank of fuel?

For fuel, you're going to want to step down to something not so wide. The wider the tire, the more friction on the road, which means more power needed to move it. With my 285/70/17's, i can get just over 19mpg consistently in city/highway combined. I know i did better with the stock 265's but i didn't have a program to track it like i do now, so i couldn't tell you where i was with those. If you spend a lot of time towing, smaller tires would still be better, easier on your drivetrain.

For tire mileage, (generally) the bigger you go, the less number of revolutions per mile, the more miles you get out of them. (Google tire size differences, you should be able to find a site that has a graphical calculator that shows your widths, heights, revs per mile, etc). But other variables to think about are off road driving, drag racing, stop and go traffic, towing/hauling, etc etc...

If you are stock height, then you have to consider rubbing issues as well...

Probably should post your specs in your signature so that we know what generation and mods you already have. Someone with the same specs could give you better details.

...my 2 pennies...

285-75-17 Toyo AT's. The reg cab suits me and my wife just fine. No kids or dogs to haul around and the reg cab provides a balanced platform for the camper. The 3rd gen cabs are so spacious that you can store five gallon buckets behind the seat. I'm 6'4" and have to position the seat fairly far forward in order to push the clutch in all the way. My '98.5 seat was all the way aft.

When I first bought my truck I put on 285/75-17 BFG ATs. It didn't look any different then stock so i went back to the tire shop and returned them for 305's. Looked way better.
