Interesting: Goodyear v Cooper

I picked up a half inch bolt in the front right tire of my recently purchased dually that had Cooper Discoverers on it. So I get the spare out which happens to be a Goodyear, same size, 235/80/17.

As I'm wheeling the two different tires around I thought the Goodyear's tread looked a lot wider almost an inch I thought. Well sure enough, the tread width on the Goodyear was 8" and the Cooper measured at about 7". I don't know how many people are actually planning on buying the same size tires as stock but I figured I'd let you guys know in case.

A lot of tire stores don't have tires on display so compare em before you drop the dough.
