Wheel Adivce Please

I know this topic never ends but I would really appreciate any help or photos you may have. I have 2008 SWB quad cab 4x4. I am going to put a 2" leveling kit on it and want to put some KMC XD Spy wheels on. The set I am looking at are 18x9 with 5" of back spacing and a +18mm offset. Tires are still up in the air but I think I want 305/60/18. I understand they are going to stick out some but I dont want them way out. Any opinions, picutures or thoughts. They also have an 18x8.5??

Thanks

xd series wheels generally have massive backspacing, they will stick out quite a bit. i just bought XD series diesel wheels in a 20x10. for tires, i have 35" toyo m/ts which are a really nice tire..they are the longest lasting m/t, the quietest m/t, and have one of the highest load ratings of any non commercial tire

I agree with bigblue, the toyos are head and shoulders above the rest. I used to work at one of the largest tire and wheel stores on the east coast and every one who bought them was stoked on em. They're definantly worth the extra dough!

Thanks for the pics and the info on the tires. How would those tires compare to a MT Baja ATZ or BF TK/O?

they have a far more aggressive tread then both, will outwear the ATZs, and have a higher load rating then both tires you listed. the toyos have one of the highest weight ratings per tire.

they have a way heavier construction to them that makes them alot more durable of a tire

Do those Toyo's sing a little on the highway?
What sort of mileage do they give?

i only have about 70 miles on mine so far (only mounted for 2 days)

when your driving, you cannot hear them over the engine at all..ive tried listening for them...when you going slow (5-10 mph) you can feel a vibration from the voids but as soon as you actually get moving, you would never know they were there

if your going 60 + and let off the gas, you can hear a very mild hum

I am very impressed!!!!!!!

ive got gear alloy injectors with 5.4 backspacing and bfg at/ko in a 305/65/18. i love it, more clearance than a 35/12.5/18, so if you twist it up offroad you wont rub. the 305/65/18 bfg is an e rated tire also, so you can pull the 12000lb fifth wheeler w/out worrying. the tire is 33.7 inches tall and almost 12 inches wide. i almost went with the toyo mud, but i live in wyoming and after running a cooper stt in 285/70/17 last winter for 2 weeks!!! i will never go back to a mud tire in ice and snow....scarry...my 2 cents, have fun with your decision...

comparing coopers and toyos are night and day

coopers are completely different from the toys, different internal construction, different compounds, load ratings etc....they are a cheaper look-a-like

but the performance, sound, and durability between the two is not at all similar
