biggest tires - mega cab

hey there, my dad has an 08 mega cab 3500 laramine. 17'' stock rims, he wants bigger tires, but cant even put a levelling kit on without voiding his warrenty, so I'm wondering if 33's would rub on it, or 35's. - completely stock.

oh yah, he does go on some bad riggin' roads and has alot of weight in the back, (welder) so he CAN NOT have any rubbing at all.

please help me out!!! thanks

I agree that the 33's will be fine if he keeps it stock. It is going to have everything to do with the offset if you do go with aftermarket wheels, to keep them from rubbing. Good luck with getting it sorted out.

well, got the 315's installed. have to try hard to get a rub. at full lock on a u-turn is the only rubbing so far. even tried flying into and out of my driveway bouncing around and no other rubbing.

Hey BACKWOODS a buddy of mine had those on his 2500 hemi and he had to use wheel spaces to clear the calipers due to the 16.5 wheels. What are those wheels off of?? Oh and they made for a rough ride to. Dang bias tires. You can get those tire for next to nothing around here. He went to 37" directional hummer tires after he put a 3" body lift on the truck.

How the heck did you fit 16.5 wheels?:thumbsup

Do you have any pictures from the backside to see the caliper/wheel clearance?

nah i added some washers as wheel spacers, i believe i used 3 a stud and then i grinded the caliper down some just where it was rubbing and it cleared fine

so i think i spent 7 dollars on everything
