cleaning alloys

I just got some Americna Egale alloy wheels and they need cleaned badly, what is the best thing to use that will actually get them clean and not hurt the finish?

Wash them good with soap and water. If you have some minor pits or scratches, you can use some 1500 or 2000 grit sand paper and work them out going in one direction. Then use a Mothers Power Ball with the power polish. After you get a good shine, use the Mothers Incredible Billet polish and polish them by hand. This will give a chrome like shine and looks perfect.

I totally agree mothers aluminum polish 4 sure.Just make sure you get the right polish 4 the type of wheels you have,like chrome plated,steel chrome and so on you get the picture:thumbsup

mothers aluminum polish and a powerball will be your best friend when polishing wheels

Looks like your center caps are shot i think i would just order new ones,there not very much

ive had a lot of luckwith the eagle one line of wheel cleaners. they have specific ones for chrome/wire, alluminum/clear coated and so on. I've used them on my heavily dusted wheels both on the chrome stock and the allum h2's for about 4 years now. Works great. I find if you spray it on wait the 1 min then just go over it quickly with a brush it all comes off without much effort.
