Tire size and looks

I have a stock 05' 2500 and would like to put on the largest tire I can without having to add a lift or leveling kit. I was thinking that 295/70R/17 would work. I think that is equivalent to a 33" tire.

Also what rim and tire combo would look best. I would like to go with the Toyo's M/T's but don't know what size rims I should get. I would like the tires to stick out a little to give a nice aggressive look. What are your guys recomendations? Thanks!!

With my stock wheels I have 315's on it. Looks perfect, fills out the wheel wells nicely. No rubbing either, and I still tow my 13k 5th wheel just fine.

315's look so good under these trucks. I regretfully am going back to 305's though to get some towing performance back.

I run 305-65-17 and they look really good. no leveling kit no rubbing even at full travel. Mt's will wear pretty quick too. I like the xtreme at's from procomp there are 39k miles on the set I have and there is still 5/32's left of tread. Just a great tire IMO....

m/t wear pretty quickly too?
are you referring to the toyos?

these tires often approach 45-50k before they need replaced

procomps are made by cooper which usually sells for a very low price...procomp has the same construction, compounds etc as the coopers, just a different name and design for the price of a top of the line tire

yeah most all MT wear quick. Cooper, Procomps, BFG, Toyos.

I've never seen a MT last over 30k miles and not be bald on a diesel truck. Where I have had 2 set of the Procomps xtreme at's go over 40k with tread left on trucks that wiegh 8000lbs or more. I have friends that have ran the toyos and coopers and bfg's MT's and not get over 20k miles from them. All guys that work construction drive many miles and tow heavy. They may cost me a little more but I'm more then happy to pay for them. IMO!
