Question Towing with 10 lug adapters or Spacers

Alright fellas(and gals), if you have read my other post, Dually Rockstars, then you know I'm looking for Wheels and Tires. More tires than anything, I'm running maypops now... But now my concern is how well and safe will I be hauling loads with spacers for wide tires? Or with adapters to run 22.5 alcoas? I pull a 36' 5er that is approx. 17K. I also haul a dozer occasionally, approx 24K. If I stay with stock wheels I'm goin to run a 34" or 35" tire, and goin to need 1.5" or bigger spacer. Thanks for any input you may have that will help me out.

Tanner

I have a 98 with 2" spacers in back running rockstars and have had 0 problems. I was leary like you at first but now I am convinced. Mind you my 98 is a dump truck so you know there tried and trued as it sees full loads of, dirt, sand, gravel, and whatever else along with pulling skidloaders and mini-x, and so much more. I have had them on for about 24,000 miles and not one problem. Just make sure you torque to the proper specs as that is most ppl's downfall and horror stories with spacers

I have had some pretty big loads on my Alcoas and adaptors with no problems. Trust me, if you do something to break one of these adaptors, the adaptor wont be the only thing broke! It would take some serious stresses to hurt them.

i ran 1.5" spacers on the back of my 2500hd and towed my toy haulers about 11-12k lbs no problems. my buddy has them on all 4 corners of his monster ford, tows a bumper pull same weight, no problems. 2 other buddies with duallys , 37's, on 22.5's, tow monster 5th wheel toy haulers, no problems. i was nervous at first from what i've heard, but none of us have had any problems at all.

T, just turn loose some of that cash you've been stacking up and get them. LOL.

Of course, I'll jack the thread when you start showing them off with pictures.
