22.5 Balance problems

I put a set of 22.5s on my 3500, I just can't get them to balance. I've had the tires trued, I tried centramatic balancers, and I tried Equal too. Has anyone else had these issues and if so--HELP!!!

The ride is pretty good until I hit about 71 mph, then I get a vibration that comes and goes in 10 second intervals. It surely seems like a balance issue??

i work for discount tire and it sounds like it could be a balance issue. what kind of media did you put in the tires . but a balance issue will stay constant unless the speed changes. does the vibration stop after a different speed is met or is it a constant speed that the intervals are occuring. pm me for more details and advice

Thanks Punchy, but I don't know about being a genius!

VTGrad, it could be a balance issue, but it should be more of a constant vibration. What tire brand are you running? Some of these commercial tires just will not balance no matter if they are trued. Also, I have heard of people having balancing issues that was caused by the tires not being seated properly. I personlly think a computerized spin balance with weights is the best balance you can get. A local big rig tire shop should be able to spin balance your tires. It really though doen't sound like a balance problem.

I am running Double Coins, yeah I know but ... . I have had them spin balanced at two different semi shops and still to no avail. I did drop the tire pressure today from 95 to 70 psi. Now the vibration comes in at lower speeds, approximately 65 instead of 71+. I am thinking about taking it to a shop in Lubbock that can pull the axles and spin balance them on the truck. That way they're taking into account the adapters too?

I think I did spend the extra money, a little bit at a time, to get those POS tires right!! If I only knew then what I know now! Isn't that life though?

They were so kind as to offer me $100 each after I had them on for 1,000 miles. I told them "They will sit and rot to H*LL before that happens!" What should I expect cost wise for a good name brand set of tires?
