2005 Spare tire missing, will 16" wheel fit?

hi guys, i just bought a 2005 3500 quad cab 4x4. one rear tire is completely shot and not safe to drive on. i am picking the truck up next week and was wondering if my wheels from my 99 ram 2500 will fit on the back of the 05 just to drive it home. for some reason, the new truck doesn't have a spare. has anyone tried 16's on a newer truck?

Naw the 16" rim will fit - you just have to shave down your caliper and rotor a little - actually about an inch....

ha ha, it looks like thats exactly what happened.

i figured that the 16's wouldn't fit the front, but i all i really need is one on the rear just to get it home. in my experience, rear disc breaks are always smaller than the front discs.
