What size tire.

Runnin 265/75r17e now. What is the biggest I can run without dooing a lift or leveling kit? Limited on tire selection also due to the fact that i pull a 39ft 16k toy hauler with 3k pin weight.

tyres

you could use a 305/65/17 in an "e" load range and have no problems, that is what I run, or possibly the 315's at the most, but check the load range...........

Toyo makes an All Terrain tire at 34X11.5X17 that is load "E", 10ply, and rated at 3970lbs per tire. It will fit on a stock truck without issues.

You could also look at running some 19.5 wheels, and some really high load range tires if you drive a lot on the highway. They are a bit expensive, but would last you a very long time, especially if you tow alot!

Toyo's

Toyo makes an all terrain tire in size 285/75/17 (34x11.5) that would fit very nicely on a stock truck plus gives nice weight ratio since it is E rated.

I am running them & I got to say they are a very nice A/T tire.:thumbsup

285x75x17

Did you notice a difference in fuel mileage with the 285x75x17 vs stock?

Do you have any pics of your tires? I want to do the same on my dually and need a reference to look at. I may need a small spacer in the rear, but I want to go up in size. Just ordered my new Dura Flap mudflaps and they should be here this week, so I have the width covered.

Thumbs up blazer bay

If there is any difference in MPG, then it is so small that I haven't really noticed. I still average 20.3 MPG......

I agree. 305/65/17 unless you do a 2" leveling kit. My friend is running this size on his stock 2003 quad cab short bed. They fit, and look great, but that's as big as I'd cram on there without a lift. Toyo makes a tire in that size that retains the E rating / 10 ply. Many larger tires like this drop to a D rating / 8 ply. Keep an eye on that spec when shopping for tires, especially if you haul heavy loads.
