For highway I'd go with the skinny Michelins that came stock aired up to 50 psi. Mine are in the barn and have about 1000 miles on them......I now run BFG A/T's 315/70/17 and love how they fill out the stance but then again I don't drive many hwy miles.

You arn't gonna lose much going with BFG AT/KO over the stock michelins........ Plus your gonna have a much better tire. I've been thinking about going back to AT's myself.

I really like the way my Nitto Dune Grapplers ride and feel, they are a 33" and with just a leveling kit they look great in my opnion. I do some highway driving and really cant tell much of a mileage drop with them on there.

Check out the new Michelin LTX AT2s. I just put them on my truck and they are the nicest riding tires I have had. I would stay away from BFG ATs and Nitto ATs. Concensus on the forums is the BFGs stink in the rain and the Nittos wear out FAST. I went with the Michelin LTX AT2s because of many reviews of guys getting 75,000+ miles out of them. I can tell you first hand that BFG ATs are AWFUL in the rain.

I wouldn't own BFG AT either I ran them on a truck, I thought they were decent in the rain and snow, but were AWFUL in any kind of mud. Im kinda thinking about switching from the MTZ to the ATZ it looks like it could be decent and has some similar charactistics of the MTZ......

i'm just at a loss with the 35's over the stock tires... i used to get about 600+ miles to a tank with stock tires and now i get about 525 to 550 depending on if i drive the truck at about 70mph. i try to stay 65 to 70 but it still turn about 2000rpms..

And what do you get with that 550 is that till empty???? Your getting 15-16, thats what I get basically with my 33's a little bit better but what do you expect? This is one reason why im thinking about switching back to an AT. going from the MTZ to the ATZ will save me 8lbs a tire, and i will gain 600lbs a tire in load rating. The ATZ still have the side lug similar to the MTZ just the center tread isn't nice cut edges. I think theyd still do decent in the mud.

I say michelin. We have the best of luck with them. We had 3 2005 with them and ran them up to 50000 miles then traded. Tires were just under 1/2 tread with no flats. All of our new trucks have them too. Kinda suck in mud but highway and wet conditions IMO they are the best. JUST not the best for "looks"
